The Nursing Unit Secretary performs clerical, receptionist, and transporter duties in support of patient care operations on the unit. This role serves as the central communication hub, ensuring accurate coordination between patients, families, nurses, providers, and ancillary departments. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary receptionist for the unit, greeting patients and visitors professionally and courteously Manage incoming calls and direct communication appropriately Process physician orders and maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers Facilitate communication between clinical staff and support departments Assist with transport coordination and other unit support duties as needed Maintain organization of unit supplies, records, and workspaces Why Join MS3 at Maine Medical Center Biddeford?
