Staff Software Engineer - (employer: Sirius XM Radio LLC; job location: Farmington Hills, MI) - Design, develop, test, and maintain advanced features and functionality for SiriusXM 360L Automotive applications for Linux-based OS using Android SDK, Core Java, Kotlin and RxJava, focusing on performance, reliability, and user experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions. Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards. Perform code reviews, work with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow between the front-end and back-end systems, debug and resolve software defects and issues, and optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and responsiveness. Help define test strategies, automate tests, and ensure high software quality throughout the development process. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, plus 5 years of post-Bachelor’s progressive experience in the position offered or as a Software Developer, Automation Architect or Technology Associate or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, plus 3 years of experience in the position offered or as a Software Developer, Automation Architect or Technology Associate.
