How you’ll make an impact:
As a Senior Product Manager for the Automotive Product Development team, you will work with OEM and Tier1 partners to effectively manage the integration of SiriusXM into a vehicle’s radio design. You will participate in the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering, defining and prioritizing product and automotive OEM customer requirements and ensuring SiriusXM testing is conducted for successful certification prior to vehicle launch.
The Senior Product Manager will collaborate closely with corporate stakeholders to clearly communicate and document program status for their assigned automotive programs.
What you’ll do:
Program & Partner Leadership
Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned OEM and Tier-1 platforms, representing SiriusXM.
Act as the primary liaison between SiriusXM and partner product, engineering, UX, and software teams to ensure requirements are met, issues are resolved quickly, and programs stay on track.
Distribute SiriusXM technical and product requirements to OEM and Tier-1 partners, integrating them into OEM specifications and documentation.
Support program launch readiness activities and ensure on-time delivery of features, software, and certification milestones.
Develop and present program updates, demos, and readiness materials to SiriusXM and OEM management.
Coordinate and participate in partner workshops, including roadmap alignment, UX and feature integration.
Antenna & Hardware Integration
Coordinate antenna testing and data reviews, including preparation, setup, vehicle-level validation, and reporting.
Oversee module lifecycle management, including DV/PV/Production readiness, EOL planning, and new module sell-in.
Drive resolution of module and hardware quality issues, working closely with SiriusXM design and manufacturing teams.
SiriusXM Firmware & Software Coordination
Manage SiriusXM firmware version tracking and distribution to Tier-1 and OEM partners.
Support firmware sell-in and compatibility planning for future module builds.
Collaborate with SiriusXM software and product teams to ensure OTA update strategies and lifecycle upgrades are successfully implemented.
Bench & Vehicle Testing
Coordinate with the Tier-1 and/or OEM partners to obtain radio benches for testing.
Conduct in-vehicle testing to validate SiriusXM 360L performance and ensure compliance with OEM specifications.
Manage scheduling and logistics for bench and vehicle use, including vehicle requests, pickups, and returns.
Create and manage test requests, logs, and reports to document results and drive resolution of any discovered issues.
Program & Technical Issue Management
Create and maintain issue lists and tickets using Jira or equivalent systems.
Track OEM and Tier-1 hardware/software tickets to completion.
Support monthly program and launch readiness reviews, updating metrics and materials.
Product Management & Feature Development
Partner with Product Planning and Engineering to define OEM-specific feature requirements and roadmaps.
Support new feature sell-in by creating OEM-facing documentation, presentations, and proposals.
Lead product certification test report reviews and prioritizing issues.
Business & Cross-Functional Support
Support business documentation workflows, including NDAs and license agreements.
Support SiriusXM Customer Care, Operations, and Marketing teams by investigating and resolving in-market product issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
BS/BA in Product Management or Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent work experience).
5+ years of experience in product management.
2 years of experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier1s.
Strong blend of product management, program management, and technical aptitude, with experience leading automotive OEM/Tier-1 integrations.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, including comfort interfacing with senior OEM and SiriusXM leadership.
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple complex programs and supplier relationships under shifting priorities.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies, Jira for issue tracking, backlog management, and documentation.
Understanding of automotive software and electronic systems, including OTA, validation testing, and feature certification processes.
Familiarity with firmware, hardware integration, and software development processes (preferred).
Skilled in data analysis, reporting, and presentation tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs).
Working knowledge of Acrobat, Figma, and other design or documentation tools (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage details meticulously, and communicate effectively across teams.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally; must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Willingness to drive SiriusXM and Automotive Partner test vehicles as required.
Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
