Responsibilities include performing history and physical examinations, triaging patients and accurately evaluating their vital signs, symptoms, and assessment findings. Additional functions include assisting in the operating room, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, and setting up equipment and imaging modalities before and during surgical procedures. The PA will communicate with patients, families, and referring physicians and will serve as a clinical care extender of attending Vascular Surgeons. The PA will coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, and promote safe continuity of care. The PA will also participate in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provide education and support to members of the patient care team, as well as make appropriate referrals. Vascular Surgery experience required, procedural experience preferred.
