Position Summary The Periodontist at Today's Dental Network is responsible for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of periodontal disease and conditions affecting the supporting structures of the teeth. This role includes both surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy, implant placement, and collaboration with general dentists and specialists across the network to provide comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities • Diagnose and treat periodontal disease and oral inflammation • Perform non-surgical periodontal therapy, including scaling and root planing • Perform periodontal surgical procedures, including flap surgery and regenerative procedures • Place and restore dental implants, including bone grafting and sinus augmentation when indicated • Evaluate and manage patients with complex periodontal or implant-related conditions • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and imaging, including CBCT • Collaborate with referring general dentists and specialists within the TDN network • Educate patients on periodontal health, treatment options, and post-operative care • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation • Follow all clinical, safety, and infection control protocols • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities Qualifications • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school • Completion of an accredited Periodontics Residency Program • Active dental license in the practicing state(s) • Board eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology (preferred) • Experience with modern periodontal and implant techniques Skills & Competencies • Strong diagnostic and surgical skills • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail • Patient-centered and compassionate chairside manner • Ability to manage medically complex or anxious patients • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills • Commitment to ethical, evidence-based patient care What Today's Dental Network Offers • Competitive compensation structure • Flexible scheduling across multiple locations • Clinical autonomy with strong operational support • State-of-the-art facilities and advanced technology • Malpractice insurance coverage • Continuing education and professional growth opportunities Equal Opportunity Statement Today's Dental Network is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in general dentistry or a dental specialty. Active Dental Board License Positive attitude with a great personality; excellent chair side manner and communication skills • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new clinical environments, technologies, and protocols. • Proficiency in dental practice management software and digital diagnostic tools. • Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills with the ability to translate complex clinical findings into clear, actionable care plans. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and collaboration with patients, staff, and multidisciplinary teams. • Ability to manage multiple clinical priorities in a fast-paced, evolving practice setting. • High attention to detail while maintaining a focus on overall patient care goals and practice growth.
