Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible. Respite Care Provider (Part-Time) Location: Bloomer, WI Hours: Approximately 6 hours per week (flexible, as needed) Pay Rate: $14.13 per hour Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, patient, and caring Respite Care Provider to offer part-time support when additional help is needed. The role involves providing a calm, safe, and engaging environment at home and occasionally in the community. The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting an individual who experiences daily seizures and will provide a steady, reassuring presence while following an established Seizure Action Plan. Responsibilities • Provide attentive one-on-one care in the home and occasionally in the community • Engage in preferred activities, including: o Using a tablet o Reading books o Playing with toys, board games, or card games o Outdoor play during warm weather • Monitor for seizure activity and respond appropriately according to the Seizure Action Plan • Provide gentle reminders for bathroom use, as delaying may trigger seizures • Maintain a calm, predictable environment with slow, clear communication • Offer reassurance and support during moments of frustration or feeling overwhelmed Seizure Awareness & Care • Seizures occur daily and may include: o Head turning to the side o Eye twitching o Dizziness • The individual is aware that seizures may occur • The provider must remain calm and confident during seizure activity • Experience with seizure care is preferred Qualifications • Experience working with individuals who have seizures or complex medical needs • Patient, dependable, and understanding • Comfortable maintaining routines and a calm pace • Able to follow care plans consistently For questions or other inquiries, feel free to email us at cdwibrokers@consumerdirectcare.com For more opportunities, visit our Facebook Page: CDWI Facebook You can also complete this form to be contacted regarding other opportunities in your area: https://forms.office.com/r/bNA70UHRTF *If hired, Consumer Direct Care Network (CDCN) will not be your legal employer on record.
