Job Code CREDANL Job Family Supervisory No Job Summary The Credit Analyst will conduct credit investigations and analyze credit information pertaining to loans. This position evaluates the credit-worthiness of borrowers and determines the likelihood that a borrower will be able to meet financial obligations and pay back a loan by reviewing the borrower's financial history and projecting future income. Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Investigates and reviews all available sources of credit and financial information for individuals and companies including, but not limited to, company audits, tax returns, and management prepared statements; individual tax returns and financial statements; and farm analysis statements Interprets and enters financial information into software system Researches and examines credit risks, evaluates customer credit reports Analyzes financial information to predict patterns and trends, often projecting future income Determines customer's cash flow and risk profile according to Bank credit policy Prepares spreads, creates cash flow spreadsheets, presents facts, and offers opinions concerning credit-worthiness Assists lenders in gathering and interpreting financial information from customers, accountants, and bookkeepers Scans work papers, maintains customer information files, and works log Maintains knowledge of available financial and loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines Education, Experience and Qualifications Education Required/Preferred Education Level Description Required High School or GED Preferred Bachelors Degree Degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred Years of Experience Minimum Comments 2 A minimum of two (2) years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field preferred License / Certification Required/Preferred License / Certification Description Additional Qualifications Computer experience required; experience with Microsoft Excel required Core Competencies Analytical thinking skills Mathematical skills Knowledge of finance and accounting concepts and practices Oral and written communication skills Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines Ability to multi-task Computer skills Detail-oriented Working Conditions Working Conditions Indoors, environmentally controlled.
