Salary: $15.76 - $20.61 Hourly Location : New Brighton, MN Job Type: Seasonal Department: Parks & Recreation Opening Date: 02/26/2026 Closing Date: 3/30/2026 6:59 AM Central FLSA: Non-Exempt Bargaining Unit: NA Description Seasonal Forestry Maintenance Workers are responsible for maintaining urban forests to ensure safe and clean environments Essential Functions This position will perform various forestry maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, tree trimming, weed control, landscaping for erosion control and drainage, tree maintenance, and general groundskeeping. Responsibilities include maintaining urban forests and trails in optimal condition and providing setup and preventative maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of parks. Additional duties may be assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Valid Class D driver's license. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, walk and stand for long period of time and to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions Ability to transport oneself to a variety of locations, climbing stairs and ladders, entering confined spaces, and operating hand and mechanical tools and equipment. Desired Qualifications Previous experience working with general maintenance equipment (lawn mowers; weed whips; etc.).
