How you’ll make an impact:
SiriusXM is seeking an Associate Manager, Product Management, to be responsible for partnering with senior product managers for product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle, including defining, gathering, and prioritizing product and customer requirements for SiriusXM Streaming Search and Discovery Experience on Mobile, Web and Connected TV. This role will focus on helping to define and build the Search and entity page experiences for our users in the SiriusXM app across all touchpoints.
What you’ll do:
Partner with Senior Product Managers on the team to help define, drive and execute on a roadmap and vision deliverables for SiriusXM's streaming Entity Pages and Search experience
Become a subject matter expert on the product, platform, and industry trends in streaming on connected TV, web and mobile app marketplaces. Gain a deep understanding of customer motivations, problems, journeys, and usage patterns
Partner with engineering, user experience, research, programming, and editorial teams to understand current goals and constantly experiment and design product solutions that incorporate user feedback through multiple iterations
Work closely with user experience, engineering, business stakeholders and leadership to deliver on the product strategy.
Partner and collaborate within the product organization to understand the desired subscriber experience and plan the necessary capabilities to enable those experiences
Serve as the first point of contact for questions and clarifications /
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- 1+ years of professional work experience
- 1+ years in Product Management of consumer digital / software products
- Streaming media experience a big plus
- Knowledge of Jira and Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
- Ability to drive decisions and work from a "user-first" standpoint, balancing technical constraints with the goal of creating a superior User Experience for SiriusXM's subscribers
- Ability to utilize and interpret data to drive and support product decisions
- Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels
- Good public speaking and presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to pay attention to details and stay organized
- Customer-first orientation. You will interview, analyze, observe and learn about your audience to create insights that will shape requirements, features and the product roadmap.
- Data-driven, able to gather & distill data and learnings in order to drive continuous product iteration and improvements
- Ability to prioritize cross-initiative requirements in service of organizational goals
- Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Agile training and experience preferred
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $87,100 to $103,200 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
