The Job in a Nutshell:
The role of the Customer Service Coordinator/Greeter is to provide excellent customer service to Natural Grocers customers. The Customer Service Coordinator/Greeter will greet customers as they enter and leave the store, thank customers for shopping with us as they exit the store and clean used shopping carts and hand baskets.

Responsibilities
Main Ingredients:
Provide world class customer service to all customers Greet and welcome customers as they enter the storeProvide customers general direction to product and department location Answer customer questions or direct them to someone who canDirect customers with returnsInform customers of upcoming events by offering event literature and inviting them to attendOffer customers a Health Hotline magazine and informs them of current or upcoming promotions.Offer free samples to customers and directs them towards other instore samples.Assist with carry-outs.Be aware of lines at registers and page for help if needed.Provide restroom code to customers as neededInform customers about {N}Power Rewards Program, and assists with sign up prior to checkout
Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
Sharing our appreciation for our customers business’
Inquiring if the customer was able to find everything they were looking for or if they require additional assistance
Calling a Crew member to assist customers with finding items as needed
Maintain a clean and inviting entry way
Keep automatic door track free of rocks and debris
Keep entry way clear of tripping hazards
Clean up any trash and debris in the entry way
Keep interior entry way floor clear of water during inclement weather
Communicate with store management when shoveling or salting is needed during inclement weather
Maintain shopping carts and hand baskets
Offering shopping carts and hand baskets to customers
Returning the Amigo Cart after use
Ensuring the Amigo Cart is charging when not in use
Gathering and stacking hand baskets to avoid any tripping hazards
Gathering and organizing carts in the entry way
General cleaning as needed
Alert store management to issues at the front-end of the store
Assist customers with complaints by directing them to store management
Although this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be “hands on” and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive.
Qualifications
Recipe for Success:
Prior customer service experience preferred
Must have a friendly, enthusiastic, and kind approach to customer service
Excellent Customer Service skills
Excellent Communication skills
Ability to work at front-end of the store in varying temperatures
Able to sit and stand for long periods of time as needed
Able to work independently
Able to successfully multitask
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to show empathy when dealing with upset customers
Attentive and assertive

Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to constantly lift or carry up to 10 lbs., frequently lift or carry 11-20 lbs., and occasionally lift or carry 21-50 lbs. Must also have the ability to occasionally lift or carry 51-100 lbs. with a team lift.
- Must have the ability to frequently push or pull up to 15 lbs. and occasionally push or pull 16-100 lbs.
- Must be able to occasionally use the computer for data entry and use of mouse.
- Must be able to constantly walk, stand, use fine motor manipulations, grip, bend, twist, turn, and reach outward for the duration of the work shift.
- Must be able to frequently to reach above chest.
- Must be able to occasionally sit, squat, kneel, and climb as needed.
Environmental Requirements:
- Must be able to frequently work with sharp tools and equipment, dust, fumes, and congested worksite.
- Must be able to occasionally work with noise, cold, heat, wet, humid, outside, heights, and contact stress.
