PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Travel Reservations Coordinator is responsible for facilitating corporate travel for CPKC employees while focusing on service and cost effectiveness. Ideal candidates would have a desire to provide strong customer service while being a positive, upbeat, driven individual with previous travel agency experience.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Answer incoming calls and emails to timely plan, book, and arrange itineraries for hotels, flights, and car rentals using Concur or Sabre or through our travel agency
- Provide appropriate information and guidance to complete a travel reservation including restrictions, terms, and conditions of travel services
- Connect with suppliers to collect and exchange information regarding hotels/airline/car rentals
- Enter data into our software and complete client files, reservation information, payment details and following proper accounting requirements
- Assist in resolving employees' travel problems and makes suggestions of ways to improve work flows and processes
- Assist with Master Card reconciliation on a weekly basis in preparation for monthly reports
- Participate in on call rotation
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- University or College Diploma/degree in Travel preferred and or equivalent travel related work experience
- Good knowledge of computer reservations systems, GDS (Sabre) and experience in a call-center environment
- Exhibit strong digital literacy, with familiarity in Excel, Outlook, and Shared Drives
- Required hours are Monday-Friday 10:00 am-6:00pm

Management Conductor Program:
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
