About the Role & Team
The Learning & Talent Solutions COE Career Development team is responsible for the development and management of various global programs focused on employee skill development, including Disney Aspire and the salaried education reimbursement program. The Career Development team is setting and implementing strategy for employees to reach their potential within The Walt Disney Company!
The Upskill and Reskill Curator will assist in the research, development, launch, and ongoing management of skilling programs, reviewing data to identify skill gaps, and researching external and internal content to support skill development. This individual will also support the overall culture of career work through support of events, engagement opportunities, and research.
What You Will Do
- Review internal company data and external data/trends to support identification of areas of need within TWDC and potential skill gaps.
- Research and evaluate internal and external content and opportunities, and make recommendations for inclusion in skilling programs.
- Assist in vendor management/relationships for external content/programs.
- Assist in development and execution of new programs’ structure and launch plan.
- Partner closely with other Learning & Talent Solutions team members and with other TWDC teams to ensure career program alignment to TWDC needs.
- Seek out and identify unique and engaging ways to assist employees in their skill development journeys.
- Assist in execution of approved opportunities for engagement.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 1+ year experience in Career Development, Learning, HR, Talent Acquisition or related field.
- Experience with vendor and course content research and/or development.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong and credible relationships; strong partnering skills.
- Desire to work in a collaborative environment, proactively seeking opportunities to connect people and information.
- Ability to effectively manage agreed upon work deliverables and timelines with moderate oversight, and demonstrated ability to adapt to fluid project timelines and changing business needs.
- Comfort with reviewing data and understanding trends.
- Proven strong experience in MS Excel and all MS Office Products.
- Passion for continuous improvement with a strong desire to continue learning in order to stay relevant to business changes and industry trends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with external vendors.
- Ability to review and understand quantitative and qualitative data including workforce metrics, talent acquisition metrics, and employee sentiment data.
- Demonstrated strong presentation skills.
Education
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree preferred; or 2+ years’ experience demonstrating required and preferred qualifications.
The hiring range for this position in Burbank is $84,600 to $103,400 per year and in New York is $86,700 to $108,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
