About the Role
The Director, Global Integrity & Compliance is responsible for owning the strategy, ongoing maintenance, deployment, and administration of Gap Inc.’s Code of Business Conduct (COBC) and global integrity programs, including communications, trainings, and policy enforcement. You will be directly involved in helping to develop processes to mitigate risks related to corporate compliance/global integrity and protect Gap Inc.’s interests pertaining to all aspects of our global business.
What You'll Do
- Own the maintenance of Gap Inc.’s COBC, including periodic updates, by leveraging external benchmarking on global integrity best practices and continuously monitoring legislation, regulations, case law and government enforcement activities related to compliance pertaining to all aspects of our global business.
- Develop, deploy, and continuously improve all training and communications related to our COBC and global integrity programs to ensure employees across all functions, levels and geographies have a strong understanding of how to make smart, ethical business decisions in every situation.
- Manages all inquiries, requests and approval processes related to employee board service, gifts and entertainment, and other aspects of our COBC. Make, communicate, and influence independent judgement calls, ensuring the Chief Compliance Officer is apprised of complex matters.
- Authors regular reports related to risks and trends we are seeing related to our COBC along with mitigation strategies, leveraging collaboration and inputs from Employee Relations, Asset Protection, and other cross functional partners.
Who You Are
- Significant experience managing corporate compliance/global integrity programs at other global, publicly traded companies, preferably within the retail or consumer products industries.
- Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal law and experience interacting with governmental agencies, such as the Department of Justice.
- Experience with and advanced knowledge of technology to develop and test new systems, tools, and processes for deploying, administering, and reporting metrics of various compliance programs.
- Expertise in assessing complex situations and analyzing data to problem solve, make judgments, recommend solutions, and influence business strategy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills , including the ability to negotiate, influence, and build consensus across multiple stakeholders and functions.
