This role is part of Cash App's Risk ML team and will be embedded within the Identity workstream. Using machine learning methods and systems, we reduce the prevalence of inauthentic identities in Cash’s ecosystem, provide a first line of defense against bad actors attempting to circumvent our IDV controls while simultaneously building our confidence in existing and new customers' identities. Our goal is to ensure that every individual has access to the financial services they need, regardless of their background or financial history.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in machine learning, data analysis, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- MySQL, Snowflake, GCP/AWS and Tableau.
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
