Position Summary
The Single Unit Devices (SUD) Business Development Director is a critical member of a cross-functional team responsible for the global go-to-market strategy of Single-Use products. The successful candidate will drive the Single-Use Technologies Division portfolio positioning, field applications engagements, and implementation of strategic customer initiatives across the broader single-use portfolio, with a specific focus on the Bioprocess Equipment and Automation (BEA) Business Unit. This candidate will be responsible for achieving global Business Unit and Division revenue, indirectly managing, training, and enhancing our field application scientist team, and informing our future portfolio funnel. Candidate will work closely with product management, field application scientists, and the broader sales organizations to build and lead an execution plan. Other key responsibilities include:
- Support commercial teams globally to assist on significant and strategic division-level opportunities, technical engagements for pre-sales, as well as promotional initiatives with channel partners (as needed).
- Develop and maintain metrics to highlight performance and gaps on global field applications resources by working with leaders in each region.
- Summarize division-wide global market/customer needs to product management in the development of new products and solutions.
- Implement and drive appropriate training plans, and adherence to it and other performance improvement plans for the field applications team's performance enhancements.
- Liaison with customers, sales, and channels to get a deep understanding of sales, competitive, and market issues.
- Partner with product management to build and deliver product training for the commercial team and channels and define regional needs for sales enablement tools by working closely with product management and marketing.
- Lead in regional tradeshows and sales meetings to facilitate growth objectives of the Single-Use portfolio (as needed).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in scientific, business, finance, or technical field required; Master's degree in scientific field or MBA strongly preferred.
- 5+ years' experience in sales or marketing in the life science or bioprocess market.
- Proven success in forming influencing interdepartmental relationships to achieve desired outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a region or product line and an eye for business with analytical abilities to draw conclusions and observations from sales and market trends.
- Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills, training, and public speaking experience is a requirement.
- Knowledge of bioproduction space and competitive landscape.
Travel : Global travel is estimated to be 40% of the time, independently to customer sites, factories, trade shows, and meetings.

Compensation And Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $160,000.00-$213,400.00.
