Era Living is seeking a Maintenance (Facilities) Director to become the newest member of our Maintenance Team located in our Aljoya Thornton Place Community, in Seattle, WA. Available shifts will be scheduled Monday - Friday, 08:30am - 05:00pm.

Summary:
The Facilities Director is responsible for managing all aspects of maintenance for the community; assisting in planning, organizing, implementing and maintaining maintenance services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and/or performs maintenance and repair required to keep the building in good working condition according to the preventative maintenance program and work orders.
- Negotiates contracts and ensures outside services are properly completed and supervised in accordance with contracts.
- Regularly inspects equipment and buildings to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
- Ensures that work areas are clean, free of hazardous conditions and that all tools and supplies are properly stored.
- Ensures compliance with fire and safety codes, including interacting with fire, building and safety inspectors.
- Responds to and is available for emergency calls from the Community.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Possess technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment generally used in a health care setting.
- Ability to plan, direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate the work of others.
- Good communication and organization skills.
- Ability to use word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail and the Internet.
- Ability to follow all OBRA, OSHA and L&I requirements ensuring personnel and resident safety at all times.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Ability to pass DSHS background check, required.
Education and Experience:
- 5 years of facilities maintenance of multiple building trades and/or other related training experience required; facilities maintenance in a health-care setting preferred.
