About The Role
We are seeking a National Sales Director (Liquor/Spirits).
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy and Planning:
Develop sales strategies and budgets.
Conduct market research and data analysis.
Create comprehensive sales plans with projections and goals.
Set and track sales and revenue KPIs. - Sales Department Management:
Manage and develop direct reports.
Hire, train, and manage a national sales team.
Oversee sales team performance and adherence to budgets.
Generate and present monthly sales reports. - Distributor Relationships:
Manage relationships with existing distributors.
Develop training materials and conduct sessions for distributors.
Identify and secure new regions for expansion.
Provide feedback and coordinate with distributors to meet sales goals. - Sales And Account Management:
Secure new points of distribution.
Develop relationships with larger retailers.
Manage key account relationships and respond to account requests.
Promote sales through regular visits to accounts. - Advocacy and Marketing Coordination:
Implement promotions and events to increase sales.
Coordinate with Marketing, PR, and Social Media partners.
Identify and manage partnership opportunities. - Direct Sales in Northern California:
Support distributor reps and engage in direct sales in the Bay Area.
Oversee sales activities in Northern California.
Qualifications
- Experience in spirits sales, strategy development, and managing multi-state distribution networks.
- Strong industry knowledge, particularly in spirits and cocktail culture.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and management skills.
- Proficiency in VIP sales software, Excel, MS Word, Quickbooks, PowerPoint, Asana, and Canva; Adobe Illustrator or InDesign preferred.
Additional Information
- Based in the Bay Area with daily commute to San Francisco.
- National travel required initially, decreasing as the team develops.
- Compensation includes salary ($100-120K annually, depending on experience), bonus, travel and entertainment budget, and benefits.
