About Us
Probably Genetic provides severely ill patients with genetic tests at no cost through sponsored testing programs, with the goal of helping patients access diagnoses, clinical trials, and treatments earlier in their diagnostic journeys. We find patients online using our proprietary machine learning platform and test them for free with our telemedicine genetic testing service. Backed by Y Combinator, Khosla Ventures and TenOneTen, Probably Genetic’s mission is to diagnose 200 million rare disease patients worldwide.

What We're Looking For
We are expanding our partnerships with key players within the rare disease space and are looking for a highly experienced self-starter who is detail-oriented and driven to take charge of our business development function. Specifically, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Create and develop strategic business development plans and objectives, including revenue targets, in partnership with the leadership team.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of Probably Genetic’s offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.
- Leverage deep industry knowledge to identify and cultivate relationships with executives and stakeholders at potential client organizations.
- Demonstrate a broad comprehension of relevant industry needs, market trends, challenges, major players, relevant products, and technologies in rare disease patient identification.
- Deliver upon core business development growth metrics, opportunity identification, and partnership pipeline growth.
- Lead strategic diligence on potential partnership opportunities, ensuring strategic and performance-related alignment.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams at PG, including operations and product.
- Recruit, hire, and develop an exceptional business development team as we scale.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant business development experience.
- 5+ years of demonstrated success developing executive-level relationships in healthcare.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate and make formal presentations.
- Ability to communicate with and effectively lead a team of people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
