The opportunity
Vir Biotechnology is looking for a Manager, Employee Experience reporting to the Director, Employee Experience. You will lead full the employee life cycle programs from onboarding to offboarding. Also, you will participate in cross operational projects by providing your HR expertise and skillset. Relatedly, identifying areas for continuous improvement within the HR department and implementation of enhancements will also be essential. Finally, you will provide HR generalist support and serve as a subject matter expert, managing inquiries from employees and managers relating to HR tasks, policies and programs in a thoughtful and collegial manner.
This role is located in San Francisco at our corporate office.
What you’ll do
- Manage the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
- Accountable for maintaining real-time quality and accuracy of employee records, data, and inquiries throughout HRIS and other relevant operational systems (UKG, Freshdesk, Greenhouse, etc.).
- Address and resolve operational issues to ensure HR operations remain on track.
- Manage HR Operations goals; support a continuous improvement mindset by ensuring the use of process discipline and data-driven decisions.
- Identify new opportunities where HR Operations processes can be optimized. Recommend new approaches to maintain efficient services.
- Manage employee relations cases including performance improvement and internal investigations as directed by the Director, Employee Experience.
- Provide administrative and project management support on key HR annual processes as directed by the Director, Employee Experience.
- Ensure all HR policies and programs are aligned with the regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction; address any non-compliance matters.
- Track and resolve inquiries from employees and managers relating to HR policies and programs.
- Understand and assess issues requiring additional escalation; engage partners to inform decisions when needed and exercise judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Work in a matrixed environment and across multiple stakeholder groups to bring issues to resolution.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Who you are and what you bring
- BA, with 8+ years related experience in Human Resources.
- In-depth knowledge of HR trends, best practices, and regulatory issues; demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and explain HR policies and programs.
- Experience in one or more HRIS systems.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience with proactive identification and implementation of process improvements is a requirement of the role.
WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE OFFER
The expected salary range for this position is $129,500 to $170,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
