POSITION: 6487-Program Director I (Full-Time Regular)
DUTIES: The Program Director supervises staff, providing clinical and administrative leadership. Coordinates program activities and fiscal management of smaller and less complex programs. Assures that the program complies with contract, licensing, certification, and other required standards.
QUALIFICATIONS: Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act. Chemical dependency certification plus 2 years’ supervisory experience or Chemical dependency certification, plus Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1-year experience. Thorough knowledge of County, Federal, and State program standards. Thorough knowledge of drug dependency, mental health, and recovery and family systems required. Knowledge of the philosophy and approach of the 12-step program. Communication, writing, record keeping, and math skills adequate for performance of job duties. Must have a valid California driver’s license and liability insurance if driving a personal vehicle on BHS business. Recovering individuals must have a minimum of two years clean, sober, and abstinent to be considered for employment.
