Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a high-priority search for an In-House Counsel (Pay Equity) for our client, an enterprise software platform that addresses DEI and pay equity to ensure a better working world for everyone. This is a direct-hire, on-site opportunity based in Los Angeles, CA .
Overview:
We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced attorney to fill the role of In-House Counsel - Pay Equity Compliance and Strategy. This position primarily entails client onboarding, industry engagement, ensuring legal compliance, and contributing to product development. Additionally, the role involves participation in legislative affairs and addressing various legal corporate matters as required. The candidate will also serve as a thought leader for the company, representing them in conferences, webinars, and other events to address pay equity issues.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with the implementation team to ensure seamless client onboarding processes.
- Represent the company as a thought leader in speaking engagements, including conferences, webinars, and podcasts.
- Monitor and analyze global laws and regulations concerning DEI and pay equity, actively engaging in legislative affairs.
- Collaborate with the product team to uphold the accuracy and effectiveness of software methodologies, while also addressing other legal corporate matters as required.
- Devise and execute strategies to tackle pay equity issues and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Offer legal counsel and assistance to clients on all facets of pay equity, encompassing compensation policies, practices, and procedures.
- Remain abreast of pertinent laws, regulations, and industry trends related to pay equity, providing informed guidance to clients.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with clients, industry entities, and other key stakeholders to bolster the company's expertise in pay equity.
- Foster teamwork among legal team members, extending guidance and support as necessary.
What You Need to Be Successful:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Proven track record as a specialized attorney in conducting pay equity audits.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, adept at deciphering intricate data and discerning patterns and trends.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal aptitude, capable of conveying legal concepts to non-legal audiences and fostering effective client interactions.
- Demonstrated proficiency in all facets of global pay equity.
- Extensive experience in conducting pay equity audits and formulating strategies to rectify disparities or mitigate potential risks.
- History of thought leadership, including public speaking engagements and active participation in conferences, webinars, and similar events.
- Robust organizational prowess, capable of managing multiple concurrent projects and adhering to strict deadlines.
Compensation:
This opportunity offers a salary range of $160,000 - $180,000 DOE in addition to health, dental, and vision benefits, 401K plan, Paid Time Off, and more.
