Background: This role is a new opportunity with an Enterprise-Scale Commercial Solar and Battery Developer based in the Bay. They are looking for a Bid Manager with experience of working in Enterprise Sales, particularly in Solar to join their team to coordinate and support their Bid and Proposal team.
Responsibilities:
Bid Management:
- Lead the bid process from initial inquiry through to delivery.
- Develop and manage bid plans, ensuring timely submission.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather required information and documentation.
Proposal Development:
- Write, review, and edit proposals for solar projects.
- Ensure proposals are compliant with client requirements and company standards.
- Create compelling and persuasive content to improve win rates.
Client Interaction:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the bid and proposal process.
- Understand client needs and tailor proposals to meet these requirements.
- Conduct presentations and bid clarifications with clients.
Team Coordination:
- Collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, and project management teams.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among team members.
- Organize and lead bid review meetings.
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
- Analyze market conditions to identify opportunities for new bids.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in bid and proposal management, preferably in the renewable energy or construction sector.
- Proven track record of winning large-scale solar projects.
