JOB MISSION:
- Play a critical role in overseeing and driving transformational enterprise programs and projects
- Drive clarity, connectivity and transparency around program execution and connectedness to strategic roadmaps
- Operate cross-functionally to understand program goals and objectives and build a comprehensive plan to support the program
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Play a critical role in overseeing and driving transformational enterprise programs and projects
- Provide strategic oversight and manage successful delivery of large scale programs
- Manage a team of project managers to successfully execute large scale transformational programs and projects
- Drive internal stakeholder alignment for key initiatives
- Develop and maintain an effective program assessment process for evaluation and improvement
- Drive clarity, connectivity and transparency around program execution and connectedness to strategic roadmaps
- Partner with Head of PMO to ensure that transformation initiatives align with the overall strategic goals/roadmap and objectives of the organization
- Create continuous visibility to project progress, risks, and key decisions while identifying interdependencies across a portfolio of projects
- Deploy and maintain a common and consistent tool kit across the programs and project managers
- Operate cross-functionally to understand program goals and objectives and build a comprehensive plan to support the program
- Understand the vision, purpose and success criteria of the program and overall Project Management Office
- Work closely with program sponsors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
- Develop comprehensive project plans, considering timelines, resource allocation, and potential risks
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
- 8+ years of experience in companies of comparable size to New Balance with a focus on strategy development, operations, project management, digital transformation. Footwear & Apparel experience a plus
- Strong understanding of technology landscape for Consumer Retailer and Wholesaler companies
- Experience working with a wide variety of constituents, including different departments, remote offices, and overseas company employees and/or business partners
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity
- Flexibility, creative problem solving and innovation mindset
- Strong organization skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Advanced understanding of Asana, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet and/or other similar project planning/management tools as well as MS Office Suite including MS Teams, Excel, Visio, PPT, Word & PPT
- Bachelors degree, MBA a plus
- PMP certification a plus
