Within our strategic focus on several sectors, we are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - Network and Security to join our team.
The Role
Senior Engineer - Network and Security is the first point of contact for Interactive clients seeking technical assistance and/or support for the solutions agreed by N*able (Pvt) Ltd. He or She will be a member of a team providing customer sensitive and responsive support, fault resolution and consultancy services, which ensures the maximum availability and higher performance of critical IT solutions/Systems. This position is responsible for providing high-quality technical support for customer network solutions/components while attending reported incidences promptly and analyzing & escalating critical incidences to Senior Engineers of relevant areas while keeping customer informed.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
B. Sc. – IT, Electronic & Telecommunication or Equivalent
Minimum 2 Professional level Vendor specific certification in following products Cisco – CCNP, Checkpoint - CCSA, CCSE, Fortinet - NSE 4,5/ Palo Alto – PCNSE, F5- 101
Technical Skills & Experience
Knowledge in Data Routing, Switching and Security technologies, with Excellent Troubleshooting, analytical, Communication, Presentation Skills, and technical report writing abilities. Especially, hands on experience in Routers, Network Switches, Firewall systems, VoIP and Video Services are essential.
Prior Experience
A minimum of four years active field experience
Main Responsibilities
Attending Technical support requirements and deliver L2/L3 support services to incidences reported to N*able Technical Assistance Center in 24X7 basis to comply with appropriate SLAs
Conduct routine maintenance activities, random network/system health audits and keep-up updated records of same
Prepare technical reports relevant to Health audits and conduct presentation on same to customer
Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with other LOB Engineers to resolve more advanced issues when necessary
Follow-up customer complain until resolve and keep-up close supervision to meet agreed SLAs
Follow standard Help Desk operating procedures; accurately update Service Desk tickets with defined procedure
Coordinate RMA requirements with vendors
b. Update relevant systems and internal database
Periodically update customer solution files and maintain up-to-date details
Engage with Service & Maintenance Contract management/operations
a. Preparation of hardware inventories
b. Preparation of inventories for application/software licenses
Other Responsibilities
- Become familiar with each client and their respective applications.
- Learn fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware and other equipments.
- Meet different certification fulfilment as per business needs.
