Amazon is offering a position in UAE as a Program Manager Engineering Services.
Responsibilities:
- Manage CAPEX projects within a multidisciplinary and multicultural organization for our customer fulfilment operations.
- Integrated project scheduling, resource planning, critical path analysis, and schedule optimization of all business, technical, fiscal, and program activities across multiple projects.
- Comfortable in different roles and able to effectively communicate and work with subject matter experts in Construction, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Transportation, or Contract law.
- Work alongside vendors and procurement departments to manage purchase orders.
- Hold regular cadence with internal teams and vendors to plan and track deliverables.
- Continuous project status tracking and communication, targeted and timely elevation of potential risks and issues across multiple teams and with project stakeholders.
- Working independently and autonomously in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Min 4+ years of industry experience including Min 2+ years of Program Management experience.
- Experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams.
- Management of infrastructure projects.
- Management, coaching, and development of managers, teams, and project resources.
- Full project budget ownership and spend controlling.
- Experience in project management and implementation with proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful implementation.
- Flexibility to travel up to 50% across projects in AMET/Europe.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
- Basic working experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works, or other).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams to meet organizational capacity needs.
- Experience managing installation of technical equipment and Operations ramp-up management of new logistics centers, factories, or large facilities.
- Experience working with BIM/CAD related software.
- Work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Experience in process design/optimization or supply chain optimization.
- Certified Project Management qualification (PMP, Prince2, or other).
- Arabic, Zulu, Afrikaans, French, Turkish, Spanish, German are considered preferred qualifications.
