Role Summary/Purpose:
The AVP, Core Vertical Analytics is responsible for supporting analytics for identified Home Core clients. The role will work closely with the VP, Core Vertical Analytics, and with colleagues in cross-functional teams from Marketing, Sales, Finance, Credit, and Client Initiatives. The individual is expected to engage in the portfolio’s strategic initiatives, work on identified growth opportunities, business strategies, and derive actionable insights for our client teams and partners. The ideal candidate must display strong initiative and ownership, have a passion for generating insights, be familiar with contemporary analytics tools, and bring interpersonal and collaborative skills to be successful in the role.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead analytics projects/programs from scoping to delivery and solve business problems through basic to advanced analytics/data science.
- Identify and execute analytics process improvement opportunities from data to insights in line with business and strategic priorities.
- Establish a strong collaborative working relationship with other teams, such as SYF India Analytics, offshore analytics vendors, and other analytics COEs (e.g., Consumer Engagement, Digital, Product) on projects.
- Drive insightful internal and external business reviews with key stakeholders and clients.
- Initiate analytic proposals, business cases, targeting recommendations, “test and learn” plans, and measurement reporting supporting marketing strategy.
- Act as day-to-day lead and point of contact with select US partners.
- Identify KPIs, develop measurement test plans, and provide appropriate benchmarks for testing.
- Provide offer/audience selection guidance to marketing for lifecycle campaigns based on program goals and budget.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited institution, OR in lieu of degree, 7+ years of progressive experience in a marketing or customer analytics role at a multi-product/multi-channel financial services organization.
- A minimum of 3+ years progressive work experience that includes:
- 1 year of experience in analytics in the financial services and/or retail industries.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with statistical and analysis tools, such as SAS, SQL, R, Python, etc.
Desired Characteristics:
- Proficient with coding languages such as SAS, R, or Python.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Birst and Tableau.
- Strong skill in project management, communications, multi-tasking, ability to work independently, and relationship management are keys to success.
- Ability to work under aggressive timelines and prioritize projects appropriately based on urgency and importance.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Grade/Level: 10
The salary range for this position is 95,000.00 - 160,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level, or knowledge.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation, and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process.
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
