JOB SUMMARY:
In accordance with the policies, procedures, and standards of Chroma Hospitality, Inc. and Crimson Resort & Spa, Mactan, under the supervision of the Director of Sales, the Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day sales efforts of the Senior Sales Manager, Sales Managers, and Sales Executives with specific responsibilities for directing sales, training, and implementing action plans set forth in the Sales and Marketing Plan.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Identifies sources of group business for the hotel and establishes a solicitation program to maximize sales.
- Helps identify sources of individual business and provides the sales elements of developing relationships with them.
- Participates in the development of the Marketing Plan (especially sales action), budget, and marketing audits.
- Maintains accurate forecasting for all/FIT segments and identifies valley periods for sales emphasis.
- Establishes programs and directs efforts to achieve group and FIT room night goals and to develop ongoing relationships with customers.
- Monitors sales production and adjusts sales activities, account coverage, and sales priorities as necessary to achieve planned goals.
- Establishes account qualification criteria and uses market research and telemarketing resources to identify priority market accounts; assigns sales personnel to ensure coverage of all major markets.
- Establishes travel schedules and monitors travel expenses to optimize sales productivity.
- Develops active communication and close rapport with the Department of Tourism, Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA), Philippine Tour Operators Association (Phil TOA), Regional Sales Office, and other sources of sales information and support.
- Completes duties and projects assigned by the GM, RDD, and FOM.
- Recruits, selects, trains, and motivates Sales Department personnel to realize their potential and develop individuals for advancement within Crimson Resorts.
- Assures understanding of position description, goals, and standards of performance for Sales Department personnel and conducts formal semi-annual evaluations and ongoing coaching and counseling.
- Maintains established personnel policies and procedures of Crimson Hotels and Resorts.
- Maximizes sales book and catering book, managing space commitments and identifying opportunities for focused sales programs.
- Coordinates group room forecast and prospects with the reservations department to help achieve maximum capacity room use.
- Assesses margin contribution of group business options to maximize contribution from each available public space.
