Unspecified Responsibilities:
- Able to manage technical people within the Certification Engineering team and to drive the team on its engineering excellence.
- Ensures practices and procedures are followed by direct reports.
- Plans and sets day-to-day operational objectives within a clearly defined area of responsibility.
- Assigns tasks to a team to achieve operational targets, service standards, etc.
- Typically, does not have budget or P&L accountability, but may manage day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g., overtime for staff).
- Identifies, defines and addresses problems that are not immediately evident, but typically not complex.
- Problems typically involve consideration of a single site. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences or standard procedures.
- Responsible for making minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of the work area.
- Communicates with parties within and outside of own team, which may include external customers or vendors depending upon the job.
- Ensures policies, practices and procedures are followed by direct reports.
- Provides primary input to hiring, firing, promotion, performance and rewards decisions for direct reports.
- Provides day-to-day work direction for team, focused on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions.
- Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
- Adheres to and participates in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self and others.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably Aviation / Aeronautical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial.
- Has strong, excellent written and communication skills.
- Has strong leadership skills.
- Has matured and critical thinking.
- Proficient in problem solving methodologies.
- Good organizational skills and strong ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Can work with minimal supervision.
Eligibility:
- Must not be under Performance Succession Plan.
- Must not have had any disciplinary case within the past year.
- With at least a year in his/her current position.
