Role Overview
The Director of Finance for Pricing will be responsible for producing financial reports and developing strategies, guiding leadership in making sound business decisions in the short and long term and other ad hoc responsibilities. This person’s focus will be on pricing, profitability, customer acquisition costs, and reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Pricing:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze pricing performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure profitability and cost efficiency.
- Implement strategies to optimize revenue and minimize costs.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Communicate financial results and insights to key stakeholders.
- Forecast future financial performance based on historical data and market trends.
- Process Improvements:
- Provide significant support in finance-wide projects, including, but not limited to, process automations and system enhancements.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any errors and/or issues encountered and propose appropriate solutions.
- Work with different teams in finance in understanding end to end processes as needed for process improvement/system enhancements.
- Team and People Management:
- You will lead a remote-only finance team and guide its day-to-day operations.

Relevant Experience Required
- Extensive experience in managing pricing and profitability preferably for subscription-based products and services in the SaaS industry, with recent years at a senior leadership/director level
- Experience working in organizations offering SaaS products in any user-centered domain (e-commerce, streaming services, etc.)
- Experience with SaaS financial model reporting and its key metrics
- Experience working on client acquisition costs and profit margins
- Experience in financial shared service arrangements, foreign offices, and/or multiple entities.
- Experience in drafting and implementing processes and controls
- High affinity for and competence with technology and tools
- Skilled in usage of any finance and reporting software
- Ability to understand other functional areas (HRIS, Database Management, Reporting, etc.)
Educational and Certification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience.
Direct Reports and Span of Control
This role will be a people manager with number of team members yet to be determined.
