JOB SUMMARY:
The Chief of Staff reports directly to the Chairman and CEOand holds the important role
of attending to day-to-day operational issues and concernsthat will allow the Chairman
to focus on growing the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists the Chairman & CEO by organizing all of hisincoming and outgoing
documents.
2. Identifies priority documents that need the signature ordecision of the Chairman and
calls his attention to these.
3. Takes care of all the Chairman & CEO’s internal andexternal communications by
preparing and transmitting memos and letters for hisapproval and signature.
4. Ensures that all company and personal records and filesof the Chairman are well
organized and systematically filed for easy access andreference.
5. Manages the Chairman’s calendar and ensures that meetingsare held as scheduled
and without conflicts.
6. Follows up the Functional Heads to ensure that deadlinesare met in the submission
of required reports and that all documents for the WeeklyFunctional Meetings are in
order prior to the meetings.
7. Monitors the scheduling and hiring of Managers andOfficers in close coordination
with Group HR Recruitment Team.
8. Keeps the Chairman & CEO well informed on all companyissues and concerns.
9. Acts as a go-between among the Executive Assistants, SeniorExecutives and the
Chairman & CEO in order to achieve a smooth flow ofinternal communication within
the Office of the Chairman.
10. Relays messages from Senior Executives to the Chairman& CEO and vice versa.
11. Assists the Functional Heads to resolve internal issuesand problems.
12. Assesses inquiries directed to the Chairman & CEOcoming from within or outside
the company and identifies the appropriate Functional Headto take action.
13. Attends to other personal matters as requested by the Chairman& CEO.
14. Performs other tasks that are assigned by the Chairman& CEO.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- With at least twenty (20) years of work experience asChief of Staff to the Chairman /
Chief Executive Officer or a President of a diverse companyor Group of Companies
preferably in the construction, manufacturing or otherrelated industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, Management or otherrelated business courses.
- Must have been a Chief of Staff to the CEO and must havehandled top marketing and
sales positions or COO/ CFO positions in the past.
- Excellent in oral and written communications skills
- Very good interpersonal and leadership skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Highly analytical and resourceful
- With good problem solving and decision-making ability
- Highly computer literate
- Must have good knowledge of corporate business processesand organizational set-up
of Functional Areas.
- Must possess excellent oral and business writing skills.
- Must have excellent planning, organizing and coordinatingskills.
- With excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- With good Leadership Ability.
- Must possess Project Coordinating and Management Skills.
Must be willing to work in our Makati office, full-time.
