The Logistics Head will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire logistics operations of the company, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation, storage, and distribution of edible oil products. This role requires strategic planning, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with various departments to meet business objectives.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role, preferably in the edible oil or FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex logistics operations and driving process improvements.
- Strong understanding of logistics software, systems, and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience with budget management and financial analysis.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the supply chain, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Operational Management: Oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers, transporters, and other service providers.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost efficiency and financial performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall logistics performance.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols.
- Technology Integration: Utilize logistics management software and other technological tools to streamline operations and improve data accuracy.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, production, and sales, to align logistics activities with business goals.
- Reporting and Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), generate reports, and provide insights to senior management.
