The Role
Marri Grove PS is seeking a committed, resilient, highly motivated, and relational leader to fill this Deputy Principal role. Our school has been on a school improvement journey with a focus on high impact instruction through explicit direct instruction, Multi-Tiered System of Support with a focus on Positive Behaviour Support and inclusivity with an emphasis on students with complex needs.
The ideal applicant should be adaptable and proficient in managing change, display a strong understanding of explicit direct instruction and can support and facilitate teacher growth. They should also possess a deep understanding of complex behaviour and multi-tiered systems of support. A background in Early Childhood education would be highly beneficial as a classroom teaching component is embedded in this role.
As a high-performing leader, you will ideally work collaboratively with all staff and students and use your excellent interpersonal skills to contribute to a culture of high expectations where students and staff learn, grow, and adjust to change. The successful applicant should possess the ability to think and plan strategically and identify innovative and practical solutions to challenges. You will ideally engage and build productive and positive working relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to strive towards achieving our vision and values outlined in our ‘ Business Plan 2024-2026’ to improve outcomes for all students.
