Job Title: Business Analyst (business continuity experienced)
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst with experience in application support to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our support team's efficiency and effectiveness by analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to optimize workflow and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Process Analysis: Evaluate current support team workflows, methodologies, and procedures related to application support.
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for improving support processes.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools to extract insights from support metrics and customer feedback to identify trends, pain points, and areas for improvement.
- Solution Design: Develop innovative solutions to streamline support processes, increase efficiency, and enhance customer experience.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation including business requirements, process maps, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, product management, and customer support to implement solutions and drive continuous improvement.
- Testing and Validation: Coordinate testing efforts to ensure that implemented solutions meet business requirements and are thoroughly validated before deployment.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to support team members on new processes and tools to ensure successful adoption.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of implemented solutions and identify opportunities for further optimization.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst in a technical environment, preferably with a focus on application support.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into practical solutions.
- Proficiency in business process modeling techniques and tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio).
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a strong attention to detail.
- Experienced in business continuity.
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) are desirable but not required.
