Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Complying with all requirements of VCE administration including enrolment, assessment, student attendance, monitoring and record keeping with oversight of the Victorian Assessment Software System (VASS)
- Liaising with the VCAA and other external agencies and providers (including VET, and other schools) in the management of the VCEPlan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study.
- Leading staff to create a positive learning environment to enhance the delivery of the VCE.
- Coordinating all VCE documentation for staff, students and parents, including the VCE Rules and Procedures handbooks
- Coordinating and managing all aspects of Units 3 and 4 end-of-year examinations, and the General Achievement Test (GAT)
- Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards;
- Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and always follow the school’s child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures;
- Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct;
- Identify and raise concerns about child safety issues in accordance with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures, including following the Four Critical Actions for Schools;
- Ensure students’ views are taken seriously and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives;
- Model and promote the vision and values of the school;
- Teach an area of the curriculum to senior year levels;
- Maintain records of class attendance and recording student progress;
- Implement effective student management consistent with the school’s strategic plan;
- Attend and participate in staff meetings as required;
- Be actively involved in regular staff devotions and prayer.
Requirements
About You
We are seeking a committed Christian educator with experience to teach at least 1 VCE subject in addition to coordinating VCE.
Qualifications
- Evidence of the right to work in Australia
- Proof of identity
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Clearance status of the Working with Children Check (where applicable)
- Registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Statements of service from previous child-connected roles
- References from previous child-connected roles

- Have demonstrated excellent organizational skills
- Have experience in Years 10-12
