Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Financial Controller, your role will include:
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting in the maintenance of the Argus Budget database, including monthly rollover, adding new projects and jobs, and importing data from Argus Developer and Timberline.
- Preparation and review of monthly variance reports.
- Providing information/assistance to Project Managers to aid in financial analysis of their reports.
- Assisting in the preparation of Group annual financial statements.
- Assisting in the preparation and lodgment of Group taxation reporting including:
- Income tax returns;
- Monthly and quarterly business activity statements (BAS, CAS, and IAS);
- Annual ATO taxable payments reports.
- Maintaining group fixed asset registers and ensuring compliance with group capital expenditure requirements.
- Creation and maintenance of commitments.
- Assisting with preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Assisting with special projects.
- Performing Accounts Administrator tasks when the Accounts Administrator is on leave.
- Other tasks as requested by the Deputy Financial Controller or Management.
The Successful Applicant
- 2 - 3 years experience in a similar position.
- Experience in a modular based accounting package will be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- Responsible, honest, professional, friendly, and cooperative.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
