Position Overview: Executive Director - Strategic Communications
As Executive Director - Strategic Communications, you will lead a team providing specialist advice and services to achieve the objectives of the department through the development of innovative, proactive media and communication strategies and the leadership of the stakeholder relationships strategy and framework.
Key Responsibilities
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Lead the delivery of a strategic stakeholder engagement strategy and framework within a complex organisational environment.
- Provide high-level advice at an executive level to key departmental stakeholders, including the Minister, Director-General, and Deputy Directors-General, on issues and opportunities pertaining to the department's reputation and its engagement with stakeholders.
- Develop a strategic and integrated media and communication function within the department, with supporting policies and frameworks.
- Lead the development of the department's brand, providing context and consistency to all communication messaging so communication tools contribute to the department's strategic objectives.
- Oversee the management and delivery of the department's digital and web presence, ensuring compliance with the Queensland Government's requirements.
- Provide effective leadership and promote a positive working environment, culture, and professional behaviour that develops a high performing team.
