We are looking for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to work with an industry-leading organization.
- Location: Perth, Western Australia
- Length of contract: Full Time
Your main responsibilities:
As the Diesel Mechanic, you will be working as part of a team to ensure all heavy equipment runs smoothly. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preventative mechanical maintenance inspections on mobile fleet
- Maintenance and breakdown repairs to fleet of mobile plant
- Component change outs, full test and adjust systems on all components
- Diagnosis, fault finding and troubleshooting on heavy equipment
- Maintain and focus on safe work practices and safe work environment
Your background
To be successful in this role, you must be open to work onsite and possess the following qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ experience as a heavy diesel mechanic/diesel fitter – preferably in the roads environment
- Australian recognised trade, or a Heavy-Duty Trade Certificate (Diesel mechanic, Diesel Fitter or Automotive Mechanic)
- Working rights in Australia
- Relevant trade qualifications
- Knowledge in all aspects of operations, monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting of mobile plant and equipment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously when required
- High attention to detail with excellent time management skills
