With headquarters situated in Spain, and 13 office locations worldwide, they have executed more than 1000 projects across 6 continents. In addition to their team of 250 highly qualified employees, they own 85 geophysical systems and a fleet of 25 specialised aircraft.
Due to business growth, they are seeking two Geophysical Field Electronic Technicians to join their internationally growing team based in Jandakot.
About the role
Survey projects range in size and scope, with thousands of line kilometres flown on an annual basis on various airborne geophysical technologies in various countries in the Eastern hemisphere.
As a Geophysical Field Electronic Technician, you will participate in all facets of the airborne geophysical survey including safety, survey operations, equipment maintenance, data quality, staffing, operator training, and logistics. Reporting to the Geophysical Systems Manager, you will rotate between working in the Jandakot office and being in the field for up to 6 weeks at a time.
In the field, you are assigned to a multidisciplinary team of 3-5 members consisting of pilots, operation field technicians, licensed aircraft engineers, and geophysicists. Working collaboratively with your team, you will ensure the project stays on target, data is collected efficiently, and uptime is maximised.
Some other tasks you will be responsible for are:
- Participating in project risk assessments, audits, inspections, and job safety planning
- Ensuring all crew comply with appropriate HSE policies
- Calibration, fault finding, and repairs of geophysical equipment
- Conducting weekly crew meetings
- Quality control on first-line data collected while flying
- Managing in-field data, uploads, and providing data to the data processing department
- Coordinating equipment mobilisation and demobilisation
- Ensuring daily field activities comply with project and contract specifications
This role offers full training and on-the-job skills development for those looking to become or advance their career in airborne geophysical surveying.

About You
The successful candidate will be keen to learn, have natural leadership qualities, and be able to utilise an autonomous approach.
You will ideally have an electronic, mechanical, and/or aviation TAFE qualification or equivalent. All applications will strictly be handled by 11 Recruitment.
