About the Role: Primo Foods have a rare opportunity for an Area Manager Foodservice – NSW to join the team and service North of Sydney and North Coast. This role is responsible for driving profitable volume and product range within the existing customer base and is to pursue new business opportunities in new and existing markets (end users). This position is also the primary contact point for existing customers and outlets. Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Field visits to the distributors and end users across designated territory including regional at least 80% of time
- Service existing customers via planned territory call frequency.
- Responsible for the promotion of the Company’s products and professional image
- Selling the whole product portfolio
- Achieve new business targets across all channels.
- Execute the agreed Planned Call in every outlet/customer
- Communicate with and provide information to Sales, Marketing, R&D, supply chain and National Contact Centre.
- Action all complaints within 48 hours
- Reduction of pricing Claims by 50%
About you:
- Previous work experience in distributor environments, smallgoods manufacturing or FMCG
- Experience in sales/retail sales/marketing, preferably in the grocery food industry
- Solid knowledge and understanding of commercial acumen, company’s compliance, policies & procedures and government regulations
- Proven track record of business improvement initiatives
- Degree/Tertiary qualified
- Proficient in delivering high quality customer & client service, providing customers with options and solutions
- Strong written communication skills – ability to structure logical presentations and communicate points clearly
- Ability to think strategically and to lead, advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to forecast future trends, evaluating market information and understanding demand management
- Working knowledge of customer service software, databases and tools
- Proficient intermediate user of Microsoft Office (particularly Mac/Tablet based)
- Strong networking skills with a positive attitude, a ‘can do’ mindset to achieve outcomes
- Self-motivated, shows initiative, can think on your feet with a calming nature
