Job Title: Network Support
Location: Redmond, WA
Duration: Full Time
Job Responsibilities:
- 3+ years of Network Engineer experience in supporting production environments, including customer-facing or customer support roles.
- Having Azure domain experience is a significant asset.
- Leadership - handle technically challenging and politically sensitive customer situations.
- Strong communication skills – Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Effective, polished interaction with customers to gather information quickly; explain customer responsibilities in resolving issues; communicate next steps and status; and inspire confidence.
- The successful Support Engineer has the drive and intellectual horsepower to resolve difficult customer issues; directly supports customers through telephone, email, and chat services as applicable.
- Cross-team collaboration.
- Experience with networking concepts including Load Balancer, Routing, Switching, Security.
- Experience and familiarity with networking tools (ping, tracert, Wireshark, etc.).
- Understanding geo-redundancy, CDN, and VPN technologies (site-to-site, point-to-site preferred, leased line).
- Experience and understanding of the OSI model and related concepts.
