The right applicant will be committed to a strategic, systematic, integrated approach to WHS and wellbeing management, and the promotion of a healthy workforce in the context of a patient care environment.
Responsibilities
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS and/or equivalent professional experience in WHS or risk management in the Healthcare sector.
- Demonstrated experience in contributing to the development, implementation, and review of WHS Management Systems (such as WHS policies, procedures, and programs) that lead to improved WHS performance of organisations.
- Responding effectively to WHS incidents and conducting formal investigations using a defined methodology.
- Demonstrated experience in contributing to the development, implementation, and review of WHS training programs.
- Experience in the use of incident and claims data systems to develop proposed WHS risk reduction strategies, initiatives, and programs.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating WHS change in a large and diverse work environment with multiple site locations.
- Report health and safety hazards, injuries, and incidents in line with procedures.
- Hold high-level skills in active listening, negotiation, conflict resolution, and other communication (oral and written).
Experience Required
- Ability to coordinate programs and projects in a high volume work environment whilst managing competing priorities.
- Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence (P2 Licence Acceptable), subject to obtaining NSW driver's licence within 3 months of appointment.
- Background within Health & Safety Advisor or Consultant.
- Experience working within the health industry or similar.
- Qualification in WHS or related discipline.
