Our WSP Canberra office is looking to appoint a Senior to Associate-level Civil Engineer to join the leadership team. This role will see you become a leader, thereby enhancing your capabilities and the reputation of WSP’s Property and Buildings team.
You will collaborate with talented professionals working on iconic projects to drive future-ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities.
Our Property and Buildings team is a world-leading management and technical consultancy operating across all sectors, passionate about tackling complex challenges of the built environment and delivering innovative and sustainable solutions.
What You'll Do
- Work on iconic projects.
- Manage ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with clients.
- Lead and deliver civil engineering projects from inception through to construction in support of technical and commercial standards, and within time constraints and cost budgets.
- Work in a varied, hands-on role with a leadership angle across design management, superintendency, and site surveillance.
- Delegate and supervise the work of junior engineers.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.
About You
- Solid industry experience on Australian civil engineering projects in a consulting environment.
- Well versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects across various sectors including commercial, residential, and infrastructure.
- Strong client relationship management and project management skills.
- Sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3500, NCC, etc.).
- Proficiency with 12D and Civil 3D (desirable but not essential).
- Drainage software experience preferred.
