Entry level claims broker role. General insurance or workers compensation claims experience preferred.
SNAPSHOT OF WHAT YOUR NEW ROLE WILL ENTAIL
Full details will be provided at the client interview but will include:
- Ensuring timely and favorable settlement of claims.
- Keeping clients informed of the status of claims in a timely manner.
- Liaising with underwriters, assessors, and legal advisers to achieve settlement.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and industry codes.
- Using claim settlement as a marketing tool.
- Developing and maintaining an appropriate knowledge of insurance.
- Keeping management and others informed appropriately about work.
- Leading, motivating, counseling, and assisting with staff development.
- Using personal effectiveness techniques at a level appropriate to the position.
- Any and all other duties.
WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH
Reports to the Claims Manager and works with a friendly, efficient team.
VITAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE FOR THE ROLE
You will need to have some recent general insurance or workers compensation claims experience.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE
Great written and verbal communication skills, plus intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge.
