We are seeking a Product Compliance Coordinator to join our Product Risk and Compliance team.
About the role:
As a Product Compliance Coordinator , you will join the Product Risk and Compliance team and be responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of product compliance processes and quality assurance controls to detect, prevent, and mitigate product safety and compliance risks, focusing on electrical safety. Maintaining efficiency of these processes and controls, you will also support the Product Compliance Managers in conducting product incident investigations and coordinate evidence for regulatory responses.
Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring product safety and quality performance indicators to drive continuous improvement across the range. Supporting the Bunnings merchandising strategy, you will ensure delivery of speed to market for safe, fit for purpose, and quality products that meet the requirements of customers, meet or exceed relevant standards or regulations, and Bunnings internal and commercial expectations.
You will:
- Develop and implement product compliance and quality assurance controls to support safety and compliance requirements, reducing the impact of incidents and supporting speed to market.
- Further develop and implement product risk matrix tools and supplier/factory assessment frameworks to assess, monitor, and record compliance and QA requirements for high-risk products.
- Monitor and identify product risks and compliance gaps and implement processes to minimize risks.
- Conduct audits and reviews of key product compliance and risk controls to verify effectiveness.
- Develop and implement tools, education, training, and awareness material for Bunnings stores, support teams, and supply chains.
- Engage day-to-day with relevant regulators in response to product compliance queries or requests.
- Drive process improvements to guide merchandising strategy and ranging decisions.
- Provide subject matter expertise on product compliance for relevant product categories.
- Identify changes in legislation applying to Bunnings product ranges and provide guidance on actions.
About You:
Joining a supportive and collaborative team, you are an outcome-driven professional who is adept at relationship building, stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiating. You have excellent attention to detail, are highly organized, and possess exceptional communication and presentation skills.
You will additionally have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Quality Assurance, product development, engineering, or relevant discipline are essential.
- Experience in electrical compliance or related field in retail or consumer product compliance, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of product risk management methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary consumer product safety issues and risks.
