Job Summary: The Despatch Clerk will be responsible for coordinating the dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to our customers, and maintaining efficient workflow within the despatch department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation and dispatch of orders to customers.
- Ensure all documentation related to dispatch and delivery is accurate and complete.
- Liaise with transport companies and internal departments to schedule and confirm deliveries.
- Track shipments and resolve any issues related to delayed or lost deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatched goods and ensure inventory levels are updated.
- Assist with picking small customer orders for pickups where needed - not much heavy lifting here.
- Liaise with the internal customer service team (mainly via emails) to assist with any customer order issues.
- 80% work on computer.
- 20% assisting with picking.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a dispatch role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently - proactive - THIS IS KEY.
