About the Technical Manager job
Essentially, your role will be to lead both the technical and quality team, taking responsibility for the company’s food safety and standard operating procedures including HACCP and managing the BRC audits.
Key tasks
- Manage supplier and raw material risk assessment reviewing and monitoring.
- Arranging supplier site visits and audits as required.
- Be responsible for labelling and nutritional shelf-life requirements.
- Manage allergen and associated risk assessments and be responsible for product and environment testing schedules.
About You
You will have a strong technical and quality management background within food manufacturing with a proven track record of managing teams. In addition:
- The ability to manage audit processes and multiple certifications including BRC.
- Allergen and auditor trained.
- Level 4 Food Hygiene (or experience) and Level 4 HACCP or equivalent.
This is an interim role based on a full-time contract for 6 to 12 months. It is based in the Southern Midlands area and is paying £50,000 to £60,000 pro rata according to your experience.
