Timberlink Australia & New Zealand is a sustainable leading softwood timber products manufacturing and distribution business, employing over 600 people. Our world class manufacturing sites are located close to some of the best renewableplantation pine resources in the world - Bell Bay in Tasmania & Tarpeena in South Australia. Our fit-for-purpose indoor and outdoor plantation pine products are suitable for building new homes, renovation projects and other industrial manufacturing applications including packaging, pallets, and furniture components.
At Timberlink we embrace innovation, and this drives our constant growth. We are currently building two purpose-built manufacturing plants to adjoin our existing facilities at both of our sites. Complementing our already diverse range of products, we will be manufacturing new timber products including cross laminated & glue laminated timber (NeXTimber) and wood-plastic composite decking & screening, expanding our business into new markets in 2023. These products will take Timberlink from being primarily a structural timber manufacturer to a structural engineered timber products and solutions business.
About the role:
We currently have a vacancy for a Customer Service Representative to be a part of our Victorian team as the central point of contact for all of our dedicated customers and suppliers.
This permanent, full-time role will be located at our Scoresby office, working 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday and is a key member of the customer service team, providing key support and assistance in ensuring the smooth operation of all customer-based functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Order entry and credits
- Logistics, supply chain and transport administration
- Customer contact management
- Management of the order bank
- Communication with the manufacturing sites and dispatch teams on order status
- Communication to the sales team on order status
- Reporting on issues as they arise
Required experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a customer service or trade role
- Experience working in environments such as Trade Merchants, transport, logistics, industrial are highly regarded
- Competent in customer service systems and databases.
- Microsoft office suite especially excel and word an advantage
