My Government client is looking for an NV1 cleared Graphic/Experience Designer who thrives on challenge and is eager to grow in their ability and knowledge.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create visually compelling graphics for various internal and external communications, including presentations, documentation infographics, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain consistent branding and visual identity across all materials.
- Assist in the design and layout of digital and print assets.
- Develop and produce multimedia content for various platforms, ensuring a high level of quality and creativity.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for improving visual and user experience elements.
- Support the redevelopment of online spaces by designing user-friendly interfaces and content, enhancing the overall user experience.
- Work closely with the Experience Designer to plan, wireframe, and prototype new features for online platforms.
- Ensure all design work is aligned with the goals and adheres to brand guidelines.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design works.
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word and PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, colour theory, and layout.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Hold an NV1 or higher Australian Government security clearance.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles and best practices.
- Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and web development processes.
- Willingness to learn and develop experience design skills.
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAITS
- A minimum of 4+ years of experience working at a digital agency as a Graphic Designer or User Experience Designer.
- Portfolio of key projects delivered in past years, calling out your role on the project, deliverables responsible, and successes achieved.
- Excellent communication skills (both in conversation and in writing) and a portfolio that demonstrates this ability in various phases of design.
- Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.
- Worked within collaborative, cross-functional teams to deliver multiple successful projects.
