Salary: $123,031.85 to $125,546.86 per annum
Enterprise Agreement: NSW (non-declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Nurses Agreement, 2017

About the role:
A vacancy exists at Parklea Correctional Health for highly motivated Infection Control Clinical Nurse Consultant with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team.
The successful applicant will provide expert clinical consultancy into the management, development and delivery of care within the infection prevention and control specialty at Parklea Corrections Complex. The position will work in close collaboration with management and key stakeholders to support the delivery of excellent patient/client care.
Selection Criteria:
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
- At least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and in addition who has approved post registration nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she is appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated high level computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system.
- Demonstrated high level effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse.
- Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.
About Parklea Corrections Complex:
St Vincent’s is contracted by leading service providers MTC Broad-spectrum to deliver health services to Parklea Correctional Centre – a major Sydney prison with capacity for 1,816 male inmates.
