Purpose
As Food and Beverage Manager , you will assume full responsibility for managing every facet of our food and beverage department encompassing areas such as the restaurant, bar, banqueting, and events. This role offers you a unique platform to demonstrate your exceptional leadership abilities, gastronomic proficiency, and talent for providing extraordinary guest experiences that will leave a lasting impression.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational aspects of the Food & Beverage Department and develop innovative and insightful strategies for optimising guest experience and revenue growth opportunities.
- Leverage your extensive expertise to guide and mentor your team, ensuring they consistently craft memorable moments.
- Collaborate closely with the Head / Executive Chef in creating menus, wine lists, and beverage offerings.
- Manage all administrative and planning aspects of the department, including but not limited to scheduling, reporting, package and promotion development, recruitment, personnel management, inventory management, and ordering.
Skills and Experience
- Prior experience as either a Food and Beverage Manager or Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager.
- Robust leadership skills to engage, inspire, and cultivate your team, fostering a positive workplace atmosphere.
- Proven track record in managing budgets, overseeing inventory, and creating staff schedules.
- Effective communicator with adept skills in stakeholder management, both internally and externally.
- Flexibility to accommodate a varied work schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a knack for prioritisation and a keen sense of urgency.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and effectiveness when faced with high-pressure situations.
- Possession of a valid RSA or an equivalent qualification for the specific Country / State / Territory.
